London’s Old Kent Road regeneration takes another step forward in £80m development

The regeneration of London’s Old Kent Road area has taken another step forward in a planned £80m development.

London based estate agents Henshall & Partners have sold two neighbouring units on St James’s Road, SE1 for a land sum in the region of £10m.

The units, which were purchased by an overseas developer, provide over 30,000 sq ft of space.

The plots will now comprise part of an £80m mixed-use development, which is currently under planning, and could provide approximately 150 new homes and 20,000 sq ft of commercial space.

Chris Henshall, founder and managing director at Henshall & Partners commented: “We are pleased to announce that Henshall & Partners have successfully sold two plots on St James’s Road for price in region of £10m.

“The sale of the two sites will comprise part of a new £80m (GDV) development which will contribute to the regeneration of the Old Kent Road area.”

Both sites are located in the Old Kent Road AAP, just one mile from South Bermondsey Station which provides direct access to London Bridge in five minutes.

The site provides the opportunity to deliver housing with improved, usable commercial space for the area.
