Yorkshire expansion for UK automotive group in Land Rover acquisition drive
A UK automotive group has announced that it is expanding its presence in Yorkshire as it acquires a York motor business.
Lloyd Motor Group, which has 29 locations across Northern England and Southern Scotland, has announced its acquisition of York’s Jaguar Land Rover.
The expansion continues Lloyd Motor Group’s investment in the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, with the new branch joining Ripon Land Rover, Carlisle Land Rover, Kelso Land Rover and Carlisle Jaguar.
The group now employs more than 1,000 staff, providing car retail, servicing and bodyshop repairs.
Rob Lindsay, franchise director of Lloyd Motor Group, commented: “The acquisition offers an exciting opportunity for Lloyd Motor Group to strengthen and expand its offering in Yorkshire.
“We are recognised as an award-winning group with Jaguar Land Rover UK. We aim to bring that unique Lloyd customer experience to York and take full advantage of the state-of-the-art Jaguar Land Rover facilities already there.
“Our strategy is to lead the market and deliver exceptional customer experiences, every time.”
Bryan Lloyd, managing director of Lloyd Motor Group, added: “At the heart of Lloyd Motor Group’s brand lie our values.
“They drive our operating principles, our ambitions, and they’re fundamental to the way we work. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues and customers in Yorkshire and demonstrating this.”
