Highways England announces relocation to new Leeds offices
Highways England has announced that it is relocating to a new office in Leeds after signing a decade-long lease.
The organisation, which maintains roads and motorways on behalf of the government, has secured 15,861 sq ft of office space at 2 City Walk in Leeds on a ten-year lease.
Highways England, which was advised by Carter Jonas, will occupy part of the first and second floor of the development, in the South Bank area of Leeds.
Jason Bedford, Highways England’s designated director, commented: “We’re delighted to agree a new lease for a new workspace in Leeds city centre which will provide a modern, flexible and agile environment to bring together our own teams and suppliers so we can maintain excellent levels of customer service, delivery and safety for our customers.”
Chris Hartnell, associate partner of commercial at Carter Jonas Leeds, said: “Highways England continues to advance new working strategies, and this new space will promote a more flexible and collaborative approach.
“The office is situated with close proximity to Leeds City Centre and provides an ideal space for the team, one that will help drive efficiencies and enhance employee wellbeing, as they continue to play a vital role in improving our road network, helping to connect communities across the country.”
