99-home Yorkshire development to create new jobs in boost to local economy
A national housebuilder has announced its new Yorkshire development is set to boost the local economy and create new jobs.
Bellway Homes says its new development in Swallownest will boost the local economy and create more than 20 new jobs.
The development, which will house 99 new homes, will be built on a 3.9-acre site to the east of Park Hill Farm in Park Hill, Swallownest.
Paul Thornton, divisional planning manager of Bellway Yorkshire, commented: “New housing developments aren’t universally popular, but they do bring significant economic benefits to local communities that are often overlooked.
“Our Swallownest development will create upwards of 20 jobs during the construction phase, and when sales commence and people start moving-in they will be bringing new money into the area and spending it locally, which will be a real boost for local business.
“On top of that there’ll also be education and infrastructure improvements made as a result of the substantial Section 106 / Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) contributions that we as a housebuilder make to the Local Authority during our time on site.”
