Jon Anderson, Scarborough Group International
Real estate developer Scarborough Group International (SGI)has appointed a new project director to help deliver its growth strategy.
Jon Anderson has been appointed to oversee the delivery of the group’s new developments across the Yorkshire region, including the next phase of Thorpe Park Leeds and Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
His role will also include carrying out development appraisals, handling procurement and managing the construction process from inception through to completion.
Jon brings more than 24 years’ experience to the role, the last seven of which were spent at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) where he was head of the Leeds office and regional lead for the Building Consultancy division for the North, working with the likes of Homes England, Drax Power and Hermes Parcelnet.
Prior to LSH he had spells at AA Projects, GVA, Sanderson Weatherall and Bucknall Austin. He has a degree in Building Surveying and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Jon added: “Throughout my life I have always strived to make a positive contribution to society, having been involved in various community-related initiatives, including being a board member for property industry charity, Land Aid.

Andy Parkin, JMG Group
JMG Group has announced the appointment of Andy Parkin as its client director responsible for cyber insurance.
With 35 years in the insurance industry, Andy has gained top level experience in organisations including Heath Lambert and Towergate Insurance.
He joins JM Glendinning from Bollington Insurance Brokers in Harrogate – an office he established.
Andy said: “I will ensure that our clients can access the most up to date and appropriate cybercrime insurance and risk management support. I am thoroughly excited to be part of this fast-moving business and to add to what is already an exceptional client service offering.”

Kieran Rigby, rradar
Litigation and commercial law firm rradar has announced the appointment of Kieran Rigby.
Kieran has previously served as global president of Crawford Claims Solutions, CEO International and CEO Europe and Latin America for Crawford and Company from 2014 until 2020.
He was also the CEO and owner of GAB Robins UK until it was acquired by Crawford and Company in 2014.
Kieran will work alongside CEO Gary Gallen and rradar’s Board, advising on the strategy and growth of the company.

George Bacon, Walker Morris
Law firm Walker Morris has appointed George Bacon as partner to its specialist Real Estate Group.
George joins from Eversheds Sutherland, where he was head of Leeds Real Estate.
His recent work includes forward funding deals for the development of significant distribution sites; acquisition and development of sites across a wide range of asset classes; and advising on the letting of a newly developed retail and leisure scheme.

Gary Steen, Tunstall Healthcare
Health and care technology company Tunstall Healthcare has announced the appointment of Gary Steen as group chief technology officer (CTO).
Gary will be responsible for all solutions and products from Tunstall’s technology delivery centres in the UK, Sweden and Germany.
He joins Tunstall from TalkTalk where he held the role of group managing director for Technology, delivering services to over four million consumers and businesses across the UK.
Prior to joining TalkTalk, Gary worked as CTO for MDS Global, a software services business where he was responsible for running core product deliveries across Europe, Australia and the USA.
Gary commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the Tunstall team during a period of pivotal growth in its critical and innovative solutions.
