IoD launches search for new Cambridgeshire chair

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is looking for a new chair to be the business voice of Cambridgeshire.

The IoD creates connections, delivers world-class professional development and influences decision-makers at the highest levels. It secured vital support for directors during the Coronavirus pandemic, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.

The voluntary position of branch chair has a three-year term and is open to all members who live or work in Cambridgeshire or South Lincolnshire.

Biplab Rakshi, IoD East of England regional chair, said: “Our new chair will represent, support and inspire our members across Cambridgeshire, while encouraging entrepreneurial activity and responsible business practice for the benefit of the wider business community.

“Working with a team of branch ambassadors, the chair plays an integral role in delivering insightful and relevant events, networking opportunities and meaningful connections for members. They also ensure that the voice of local directors is heard by policy makers.”

Applicants must have a strong and demonstrable track record in board or equivalent roles, with a strong network of contacts within Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.
