IoD launches search for new Suffolk chair
The Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched the search for a new chair to lead and inspire Suffolk directors.
The successful candidate will work alongside a branch team to help the area’s vibrant and diverse community of directors to recover and thrive post-pandemic.
The voluntary position has a three-year term and is open to all members who live or work in the county.
The IoD creates connections, delivers world-class professional development and influences decision-makers at the highest levels. It secured vital support for directors during the pandemic, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.
Biplab Rakshi, IoD East of England regional chair, said: “Our new chair will represent the entire spectrum of Suffolk directors. Our membership ranges from start-up entrepreneurs to large SMEs and UK national companies in sectors ranging from food and agri-tech to manufacturing and renewable energy.
“The successful candidate will support our members, encourage entrepreneurial activity and promote responsible business practice for the benefit of our members and the wider business community.”
Applicants must have a demonstrable track record in board or equivalent roles, with established business interests and a strong network of contacts within Suffolk.
