Back of the net: Handicare announced as latest sponsor for local football club Gornal Colts FC
Kingswinford-based Handicare Accessibility Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier of independent living aids including stairlifts, homelifts and accessible bathrooms, is proud to become the latest sponsor of local football club, Gornal Colts FC, based in Brierley Hill, Dudley.
Handicare Accessibility Ltd, has made a £250 donation in sponsorship, which has been used to install a brand new advertising board that sits on the perimeter of the football pitch, and will enable the club to offer local businesses advertising space, and in turn, generate more revenue.
Remaining funds from the sponsorship will also go towards associated fees, as well as the overall upkeep and maintenance of the club. This will enable the team to carry on competing in the West Midlands Regional League, and continue to rise up through the ranks.
Richard Whitehouse, Handicare UK Director of Operations, said: “Here at Handicare, we are huge advocates for supporting the local community. That’s why we are so pleased to be sponsoring Gornal Colts FC, as put forward by one of our long-standing employees, Susan Johnson, who is Secretary at the football club. As a local club near to our Head Office in Kingswinford, we’re keen to support their incredible efforts within the West Midlands Regional League, and we’re so pleased that our funds will enable the club to continue to grow.”
Susan Johnson, Secretary at Gornal Colts FC, added: “We’re delighted that Handicare has become our latest sponsor and showcase their support of our Football Club. There are many costs involved with running a club, and plenty of upkeep too. The installation of our new advertising board will enable us to attract more business across the grounds, and as such, help to cover these costs. The support from our local community is wonderful to see, and crucial to the maintenance of the club, which is why we’re so grateful to businesses such as Handicare who are able to sponsor us.”
Handicare, which manufactures stairlifts in Kingswinford for UK and worldwide distribution, holds accreditations for ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 18001.
