Japanese restaurant 'gyoza' head with second opening in London venue
A Japanese restaurant has continued its expansion plans and will open in an ‘iconic’ venue next month.
Marugame Udon, which opened its debut European site on Liverpool Street in July, will celebrate its second open at The O2 in Greenwich on Monday September 13.
In addition to being the company’s second restaurant in London, it hopes to expand further around the capital and into wider Europe.
The new restaurant at the O2 spans over two floors and has space for 150 covers and an open-style kitchen. The team is led by executive chef and udon black belt Kouhei Honkawa, and offers a vegan menu.
Janine Constantin-Russell, MD of Icon Outlet and the Entertainment District at The O2, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Marugame Udon to The O2 to bring their fresh Japanese noodles and exciting flavour combinations to our visitors.”
She continued: “Here at The O2, we’re continuing to diversify our offering of food and beverage brands on-site and are excited to be bringing a new cuisine which is matched in both quality and value to our customers.”
