A London venture capital firm has announced its investment into a legal AI startup for financial services.

QVentures has announced its latest fund investment into Semeris, a legal AI startup that aims to help financial services companies review, analyse and summarise legal documentation.

Currently, Semeris serves customers in a US and European collateralized loan obligation (CLO) market, from small boutique investment firms to Global Banks. Semeris expects that the funding will accelerate its US expansion, as well as speeding up entry into the analysis of additional classes.

Peter Jasko, co-founder and CEO of Semeris, said: “QVentures took the time to really understand our business and help set Semeris up for successful growth. The closing of this funding round will spearhead the expansion of our capital markets legal AI products into the US.”
