I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth plans here, finding new sites and ultimately using my experience to get deals over the line.”
Hamish Mojaria, FETCH
Food and drink order-and-pay app FETCH has appointed Hamish Morjaria as chairman.
Over the past 20 years, entrepreneur and investor Hamish has held senior leadership roles in global technology, distribution, wholesale and retail companies.
Hamish commented: “What I really like about FETCH is it plays in a sector that is going through a significant period of disruption.
“The traditional model for checkout is changing, and that’s across retail, hospitality, and food and beverage. I think it’s relatively clear in a period of time that the traditional model - queuing up at a till point or hailing a waiter to pay a bill - is going to change.
“FETCH’s management team have a tremendous depth of experience in providing enterprise-class solutions, and their vision is very complete from the transactional side to tipping, splitting a bill; all of the things that people in the food and beverage, hospitality and retail industry are looking for and can be implemented very quickly.”
Steph Ross, Born Social

Having joined Born Social in 2017 as an account manager, Steph’s role later evolved into a senior social media manager job before starting her new role.
Prior to joining the agency, Steph worked in marketing for a range of FMCG challenger brands including PROPERCORN.

“We’re delighted that she is now in a position to lead the department she’s helped to shape in that time, on to bigger and better things.”
Steph added: “I’m really excited to step into the new role and help drive Born Social towards our lead agency vision, both through best in class, social-first output, and through the leadership of my team to do the same.”
David Pattison, Octaive
Conversational media platform Octaive has appointed David Pattison as its new chairman.
Advertising veteran David co-founded PHD in 1990 and more recently he has been involved in a number of startups in a range of industries including, marketing, publishing, construction, motorsport, adtech, martech, fintech, production and broadcasting.
David has also written a book called The Money Train: 10 things startups need to know about investors, that helps startups prepare for the fundraising journey.
Octaive co-founder and CEO, Sam Peters, commented: “We are delighted to have someone of David’s vision and calibre onboard as our Chairman and investor which demonstrates the ambitions of this team and the potential of Octaive.
“We are looking forward to drawing upon his extensive experience as we scale the business globally. For too long brands have been limited to just ‘pushing’ their message at consumers but today people expect control over their digital experiences.
“Our core focus is helping brands create ad experiences that drive ‘active attention’ with their audience. Our platform makes this super simple by repurposing standard display, social and video assets into highly engaging, 2-way interactive conversational creative.”
David added: “I am hugely excited about the potential of Octaive. When I get involved with startups I have three criteria that need to be met: Can I spend two hours in a room with the people, is it an interesting product and can I make a difference? Octaive puts big ticks in all the boxes.
“It’s a great team, led by a brilliant CEO. The company is doing business with big brands and is already profitable. They are solving the problem of creating attention, driving personalised ads in a cookieless world. The results clients are getting are exceptional.”
