Yorkshire firm aims for sustainability with sale of logistics arm

A historic Yorkshire company has announced that it has sold its logistics arm as it aims to build a more sustainable business.

John Good Group, based in Hull, has sold Good Logistics, its logistics, forwarding and liner agency business, to Denholm Group.

The company said that the money gained from the sale will be reinvested into its remaining businesses, Trans European Port Services, Dan Shipping and Chartering and Bay Shipping, and Good Travel Management.

Stewart Oades, chairman of John Good Group, said: “We are pleased to have agreed the sale of Good Logistics to Denholm Group, which will secure an excellent future for Good Logistics and its employees.

“It’s also an exciting time for the John Good Group as we continue to operate in the maritime, travel, haulage and warehousing sectors, explore new opportunities and build a more sustainable business for the long term.”
