Michelin trained chef to open second restaurant in London’s Chelsea
A Michelin trained chef is to open his second restaurant in West London.
Mark Jarvis, the chef behind Farringdon restaurant Anglo, will launch 1771, a new contemporary British restaurant on Holbein Place, Chelsea.
Mark Jarvis, who trained with Raymond Blanc, commented: “It has been a really tough year for our industry so we are thrilled to be opening this restaurant, especially in West London which is an area I’ve always loved.
“We can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on and to try out these fantastic new flavours.”
The 50-seater dining room, spread across two spaces, with furnishings provided by interior designer Rose Uniacke, will reveal shades of warm tan and green, whilst the façade is a deep Sacramento green embellished with hand cut fresh flowers.
The eatery also hosts a bar, designed as a homage to the Pop Art movement, where an original print of Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans can be viewed.
