New Yorkshire leisure facility to create 30 jobs at The Glass Works
A new leisure facility is set to open in Barnsley on Friday October 15 at The Glass Works shopping centre.
According to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, the new leisure attraction, Superbowl UK, will create 30 jobs.
The development hosts a 12 lane ten-pin bowling complex, a family games centre, soft play, amusements and food and drink vendors.
Superbowl UK marketing spokesperson George Smith said: “We chose to open in Barnsley because we know what a vibrant and popular place it is.
“We’re proud to be the first leisure operator opening at The Glass Works and we’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors. There will be something for all ages and we’ll be bringing the fun into The Glass Works Square.”
Cllr Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture at Barnsley Council, said: “Superbowl UK is a great addition to The Glass Works and will provide a fun place for families and friends to get together.
“The Glass Works is taking shape and we are seeing really encouraging visitor numbers. Superbowl UK will expand the offer of Barnsley town centre even further – helping create an even busier, vibrant and more inviting destination.”
