Aptus Utilities celebrates five years at Gateshead site
Gateshead multi utility connections provider Aptus Utilities is celebrating its five-year anniversary as it announces team expansion.
A team of 30 are based at the Follingsby Park depot including three multi utility apprentices who joined this month.
Aptus installs the infrastructure that provides water, gas and electricity to new build residential and commercial property developments. Clients include national housebuilders and regional builders of all sizes.
Over the past five years Aptus has gained contracts with housebuilders including Persimmon Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Bellway.
There are now 15 vehicles in the north east fleet and in total, the team has secured 154 contracts.
North East Operations Manager Steve Chesworth said:
“Over the past five years we’ve built solid relationships with north east housebuilding companies and have had the chance to demonstrate what a multi utility model has to offer. We’ve been able to support clients on a range of diverse and exciting projects including the regeneration of sites. With many new projects in the pipeline, it’s fantastic to have three apprentices join us. We’ll be looking to grow our team further in the coming months.”
Recent projects Aptus has worked on include Project Genesis, the redevelopment of a former steelworks site in Consett.
Aptus opened the Follingsby Park depot in 2016 as its first base outside of its North West headquarters in Bolton.
