Hallam Land Management pledges a year of support to Roundabout
HALLAM Land Management, the strategic land and planning promotion arm of Henry Boot Group, is giving a year’s sponsorship to South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.
The sponsorship will be going directly to Roundabout’s Homeless Prevention Service, which offers advice and support to young people who at risk of becoming homeless due to family relationship breakdown.
Already the Hallam Land team has taken part in Roundabout’s Sunrise on Snowdon fundraising hike and will be continuing to fundraise for the charity over the coming months.
Altogether, their supprt is expected to be worth around £30,000 for Roundabout.
“Hallam Land and Henry Boot are at the heart of the property industry and so it seemed like a good fit for us to support Roundabout’s Homeless Prevention Service,” said Henry Boot Responsible Business Manager Jack Kidder.
“Having got the partnership off to such a good start with the Snowdon challenge, we look forward to supporting a charity that does so much good work with South Yorkshire’s young people.”
Roundabout Fundraising and Communications Manager Helen Mower said: “Henry Boot have been supporting Roundabout for a number of years, but as part of their 135 Henry Boot Business Strategy, looking at equality, diversity and inclusion, they were looking for a sponsorship opportunity to support Roundabout that would make a real impact.
“They felt that sponsoring 12 month rental for our Homeless Prevention Service would have a huge impact on a large number of people, while allowing them to really learn more about what we do and the challenges facing young homeless people.
“We are delighted with the opportunities this partnership offers and look forwards to working with them on events, volunteering and generating an overall awareness of the problems of youth homelessness amongst their team.”
