New Leeds veterinary practice in the former offices at Temple House in Seacroft, Leeds.

£1.4m new Leeds veterinary practice set to open in March 2022

Work is underway on a new £1.4m veterinary practice in Leeds.

Beechwood Veterinary Group hopes to move into large, modern facility in March 2022 when work is expected to be completed to convert former offices at Temple House in Seacroft into a new clinic.

Investment for the practice is being provided by VetPartners, a York-based veterinary group, which has 160 small animal, equine, mixed and farm practices. Work on the new practice started on October 11 after a delay caused by the Covid crisis.

Plans for the new practice include seven consulting rooms, three operating theatres, a dedicated x-ray room, ultra-sound suite, dental theatre with dental x-ray, and separate cat and dog wards.

The new site will also have a dedicated room to provide a quiet space for owners during difficult times, including clients suffering bereavement if their pet has been put to sleep.

Beechwood Vets practice manager Kelly Mann said: “Moving to a bigger site and to a building that is being converted to meet our needs is a massive boost. We will be able to offer an enhanced service as there will be much more space for improved facilities, more parking for clients and separate cat and dog facilities.

“We have outgrown our current site in Crossgates and look forward to having more consult rooms so we can see more clients and provide more kennel space for patients. We have an excellent team of enthusiastic nurses, who are keen to develop nurse clinics and additional consulting space will allow this.”

Beechwood Vets clinical director Louise Mallinson added: “The move to Temple House will provide more space, improved facilities, and new equipment, all of which will allow the team to use and develop their special interests, and help expand the services we can provide.

“This will improve patient and client care, and give the team a greater sense of job satisfaction, and so this is a really exciting time for us We’re very grateful to VetPartners for their investment and support and are really looking forward to welcoming our clients to Temple House in Spring 2022.”

Following the opening of the new practice, Beechwood’s main Crossgates site in Austhorpe Road will remain open as a branch surgery for routine healthcare.
