Art class provider opens new studio in Dulwich
A children’s art class provider has announced the opening of its new studio in Melbourne Grove, Dulwich.
The art-K Dulwich studio will offer classes after-school weekdays and all day Saturday, giving children the opportunity to learn new art skills and develop a spectrum of styles and mediums.
The new studio will open on October 25 2021, with a series of holiday workshops covering the Half Term break. Running October 25 to October 29, these workshops are a combination of two-hour art courses, exploring projects across mediums including paper sculpture, clay, mixed media, watercolour and acrylics.
The studio offers Autumn Term sessions starting from Tuesday November 2, running until Friday December 17.
The managing director of art-K, Emily Harper, said: “We are very excited to launch our new classes in Dulwich – the location is home to the world-renowned Dulwich Picture Gallery with its collection of Old Masters.
“However, our focus is fostering the development of art skills in the next generation – the ‘Young Masters’ - in a safe space for channeling their creativity.”
The art leader at art-K, Laura Hutchins said: “I am very much looking forward to bringing my experiences from other art-K branches to Dulwich, to encourage children to enjoy the artistic process in a way that suits them as individuals.”
Since launching in 2016, art-K has expanded to more than 30 clubs, teaching 3000+ students per week and employing over 100 artists.
