Morgan Sindall team conquer the Three Peaks for Roundabout

THE Morgan Sindall Construction Integrated Strategic Business team proved that not all the best work is carried out in the office after they conquered Yorkshire’s highest peaks and raised more than £4,000 for South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.

In less than 12 hours, the Sheffield based team of 10 completed the Three Peaks Challenge, the 25-mile route that includes 1,500m of ascent and descent of the highest peaks in Yorkshire - Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.

With some good weather on their side, they successfully completed the day and raised a total of £4,480 for Roundabout.   Roundabout’s Fundraising and Communications Manager Helen Mower said: “We were so grateful to the management team for supporting us in this way and knowing that while they were exhausted from doing this challenge, they would be making a huge difference to young people facing much bigger challenges than this on a daily basis.

“This fantastic donation could support our prevention work, and pay for as many as 150 mediation sessions, supporting young people to stay safely at home rather than becoming homeless”

Alex Isted, Integrated Strategic Business Director at Morgan Sindall added: “We were really pleased to support Helen and her team in the amazing work that Roundabout do for the young homeless.

“We hope that the money raised through kind donations will have a meaningful impact on young lives.”
