OMEGA opens its largest franchise boutique in the UK at Liverpool ONE
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland (GBI) has announced the opening of OMEGA’s largest franchise boutique in the UK on Liverpool ONE’s upper South John Street. Created in partnership with David M Robinson, the new 2,000 sq ft store showcases OMEGA’s Speedmaster, Constellation, Seamaster and De Ville collections for men and women, and is an authorised repair centre.
The boutique features a number of unique elements, including a bar and an innovative changeable lighting system to help create different ambiences in the store. In another first, the boutique makes use of OMEGA’s own fragrance in the showroom air-conditioning system. Multi-sensory merchandising is increasingly important in bricks and mortar retail, adding to the experience and appeal for consumers visiting physical stores.
The news coincides with an 18% increase in jewellery sales at Liverpool ONE since retail re-opened on April 12 compared to the same period in 2019.
Alison Clegg, Managing Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, commented: “The opening of such a significant OMEGA boutique demonstrates Liverpool ONE’s continued popularity among leading retail brands for physical stores. It is a great addition to Liverpool ONE’s luxury offering and provides even more diversification at the destination. Together with other recent additions, Liverpool ONE continues to be one of the most in-demand and best-performing destinations in the UK.”
John Robinson, Managing Director at David M Robinson, added: “I am thrilled to see the doors of our OMEGA boutique open in Liverpool, cementing the city as the home of DMR. It has been an exciting journey along with our friends at OMEGA and we are pleased that they have chosen us as their preferred partner for this project which has created a unique luxury proposition here in the heart of Liverpool ONE.”
The OMEGA boutique by David M Robinson is the latest in a series of premium additions to Liverpool ONE’s line-up, following the openings on Peter’s Lane earlier this year of Clarendon Fine Art and an upsized store for Castore, the premium sportswear brand.
Metis and CBRE acted for Liverpool ONE. Howard Kennedy Lawyers acted for David M Robinson.
