London grows greener with new store for national gardening retailer
Dobbies Garden Centres opened the doors of its Richmond little dobbies today, giving green-fingered Londoners access to a range of houseplants, gardening products and seasonal items.
Located at 54 George Street, this is the third little dobbies to open in London and the fifth in the UK, following Westbourne Grove, Chiswick, and Clifton all opening this year, and Edinburgh opening in 2020.
Customers visiting the new Richmond store will have the opportunity to browse Dobbies’ range of convenience and sustainable gardening products such as Dobbies own brand peat-free compost, bamboo pots and gardening tools.
Janice Bilyard, general manager for little dobbies Richmond, said: “The whole team is excited to welcome people to the store, where they will be met with an exciting variety of Dobbies’ products.
“With attention quickly turning to Christmas, customers will also have the chance to get ready for the festive period, whether that’s decorations for their homes, or presents for loved ones.”
Graeme Jenkins, CEO at Dobbies, added: “Our little dobbies stores in Chiswick and Westbourne Grove have been well received by London customers, and we are proud to be able to further expand our offering in the country’s capital with this latest opening.
“The little dobbies stores were designed as a new way for customers to shop local, providing the same quality products Dobbies is known for in a more urban environment. The format is proving extremely popular with customers, and we’re looking forward to even further expansion in 2022.”
