Metrocentre collaborates with Jobcentre Plus for annual Jobs Fair
Metrocentre’s annual Jobs Fair returns as the centre prepares for its busiest time of the year.
Job seekers can meet prospective employers with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and attributes face to face.
The event has been organised in partnership with Jobcentre Plus.
Bussinesses such as Next, Wagamama, Smyths Toys, Angry Birds, Clip and Climb and McDonalds will be in attendance.
Tracy Allison, community hub coordinator at Metrocentre, said: “We’re very excited to host this year’s Jobs Fair. Metrocentre is really evolving, it’s becoming more experiential and offers much more than just shopping.
“With so much competition and changing job roles, we need a refreshed approach to recruitment with exceptional customer service at the heart of everything.
“There are so many routes into retail and hospitality with opportunities for employment progression within and between stores in the centre. Retail and hospitality are ideal contexts for in house training, with little entry level requirement, however many opportunities for upskilling and qualifications in work.”
The Jobs Fair takes place at Metrocentre on Thursday 11th November between 10 am-2.30 pm.
