Leeds global recruitment firm sees 288 per cent revenue growth
Global executive search consultancy Spencer Riley has seen revenues increase by 288 per cent year-on-year, having recently relocated to Leeds city centre and expanded its team.
The recruitment firm, which specialises in board and senior technical and commercial level positions in sectors ranging from construction and engineering to life sciences, is now looking forward to the next phase of its expansion after a record year.
Established in Huddersfield in 2014, the firm currently supports clients in territories across the UK, Europe and North America. The big growth markets for the firm have been within life sciences, construction, renewable energy, environmental services, and pharmaceuticals over the last 12 months.
Spencer Riley founder and managing director, Scott Ellam, said: “The dramatic changes in the business environment over the last 18 months have been met by the team with a positive energy and commitment to our strategic goals - turning a very challenging time for businesses into a significant period of excitement and growth for the company.
“This is largely down to focussing on creating a scalable business platform, the timing of our relocation to Leeds, making key hires during lockdown and achieving the ambitious objectives we set ourselves.
“We’re finding the recruitment market is buoyant, with our clients starting to business plan with more confidence and the best talent in each sector increasingly open to considering their long-term prospects, now more than ever.
“Although in some sectors the demand from clients for experienced specialists is becoming increasingly competitive, so the expert advice from our consultants throughout the hiring process is helping to give clients that advantage in securing their future leadership.”
