London crowdfunded fitness business set to launch smart boxing home workout solution
London based crowdfunded business Boxx has launched a campaign for a new generation punch bag and smart punch trackers that work with an app to bring training, tracking and studio-quality sessions into homes.
According to a recent study commissioned by SWNS, 48 per cent stated a top benefit of working out from home was the flexibility and convenience to exercise at any time whilst 72 per cent believed that gyms will become a thing of the past.
Anna Samuels, Boxx founder said: “At Boxx, we’re designing for the new world of at-home workouts. Not just great content and technology, we’re also thinking about your space as well as your style. When you’re not working out we want your home to feel like home, not the gym.”
Using motion tracking, the Bluetooth enabled trackers measure: the count, speed, power and direction of every punch. Historical data on sessions and calories are stored in the app to track and reward progress.
Further motivation comes from the wider, interconnected Boxx community as users interact and compete through class leaderboards, as part of the app.
Anna added: “Our mission is to make boxing accessible to everyone so we’re excited to launch on Kickstarter, allowing us to bring our community as well as newcomers on the journey and be part of making it happen.”
The crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter began on 9th November and runs through to 14th December 2021.
