Yorkshire water utility firm takes lease for new hub in Birstall
A Yorkshire property development and investment specialist has announced the letting of its Kingston House development in Birstall to a water utility firm.
The site, owned by the Helmsley Group, will be occupied by Morrison Water Services, formerly Morrison Utility Services.
The move to the 9,822 sq ft site will enable the establishment of a Morrison Water Services Yorkshire Hub. It is hoped this will facilitate greater collaboration between the firm’s departments, and enabling it to better service homes and businesses across the region.
Rachel Vincent, contract director at Morrison Water Services, added: “The move to Kingston House will enable increased collaboration between two of our major contracts, serving our long-standing client Yorkshire Water.
“This will allow us to provide a more seamless service for customers on a regional scale and we’re excited to see what this new chapter holds for us as a business.”
George Baines, asset manager at Helmsley Group, said: “The out-of-town office market continues to demonstrate remarkable buoyancy in spite of the pressures from the pandemic. As we see increased demand for office space once more, we’re pleased to have secured a significant commercial letting to a market leading provider.
“The building only became vacant during the summer following the lease expiry of a longstanding tenant. As such, we are delighted to have completed a new lease so quickly which only reinforces the prime location of Kingston House and the resilience of the out-of-town office market in Leeds”
