New directors at Attis Insurance Brokers Tees Valley office

Two highly experienced insurance experts have joined Attis Insurance to lead its Tees Valley office.

New Directors Emma Simkins and Jonathan Willett, who between them have more than 50 years working in the insurance sector, bring the team to 15, representing major growth, in a short period of time. The firm, which had three staff in May 2021, is targeting similar expansion over the next two years.

Emma and Jonathan both worked for a number of years at Willett and Ross, a well-known Teesside insurance brokers, which was founded by their father.

Based in the vibrant Port of Middlesbrough, in the heart of the Freeport area, Attis Insurance, which also has offices in Lincolnshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire, will work with commercial clients across most business sectors.

Emma Simkins said: “To be based in the Port of Middlesbrough, at the very heart of the Freeport is fantastic. Tees Valley is an area very much on the up and Attis plans to be part of that revival, working with businesses from large corporate organisations through to sole traders.

“We have an experienced team of consultants with a wide range of industry experience and expertise.

Jonathan Willett said: “The insurance sector has become impersonal and remote.

“We will take time to visit our clients, understand their businesses and insurance needs to enable us to provide tailor-made solutions. Our strapline is ‘balance sheet protectors’ and our position as independent insurance brokers allows us to react and respond to client requirement quickly and professionally. We are highly committed to claims management as it is our shop window. We have already settled a number of claims that the client’s previous broker had been dealing with unsatisfactorily.”
