Blaydon development helps first time buyer onto property ladder

Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Wright has taken the first steps on the property ladder after purchasing an apartment at the Garden Mews development, situated in the Blaydon conservation area.

The supervisor groundsman at Newcastle University has bought his first home after living in rented property with friends for several years.

The two-bedroomed apartment is on the top floor and extends to more than 600 sq. ft and features contemporary open plan living spaces, two double bedrooms and a superb glass balcony with southerly aspects as well as allocated parking.

Daniel said: “It’s fantastic to have moved into my own home and the whole process has been really straight-forward.

“The apartment has a really high-quality finish, and the development feels safe and secluded but shops and amenities are within walking distance.

“I am looking forward to meeting my new neighbours over the coming months and becoming part of the Garden Mews community.”

Garden Mews has been developed by independent local developer Greenway Homes following a multimillion-pound investment.

Comprising a stylish mix of 25 homes, the regeneration includes the renovation of the historic Blaydon House into three family homes. Seven apartments, three mews houses and 12 three-storey townhouses complete the project.
