Manchester Digital announces fully funded Skills for Growth courses for SMEs
Manchester Digital has introduced three new fully funded courses for SMEs in all sectors across Greater Manchester to support productivity and growth under the Government’s Skills for Growth initiative.
The Skills for Growth 2022 programme is funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the European Social Fund.
Emma Grant, head of talent and skills at Manchester Digital, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this support to SMEs from any business sector across the region. The courses will help provide vital training to support them in their digital transformation journey.
“Digital skills are key for SMEs across any sector to be able to continue their growth into next year. The Covid pandemic has proved just how vital digital skills are for all of us, and this skills opportunity enables businesses across our region to make actionable, growth-focused changes within their organisations through funded investment in their workforce.
SMEs can choose from a suite of two-day courses, with support for both senior leaders and decision makers to non-technical staff wanting to upskill and grow their added value. This programme will support 250 learners to help meet their business needs, now and for the future, as well as help with their own career progression.
The courses begin this month and run until March 2023. They consist of two-day courses, which are a mix of in-person and virtual delivery, which are based in Greater Manchester.
There are three types of courses available: ● Leadership for digital growth ● Cyber Secure - security awareness & information governance training ● Project management for digital transformation.
