Octaive appoints Christian Sellars as VP of Revenue
Christian Sellars has been appointed as VP of Revenue by conversational media platform Octaive. Octaive’s ‘conversational media’ technology generates ‘active attention’ through conversations between consumers and brands within standard display and video inventory. Sellars will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and alignment across marketing and product for the pioneering business.
Sellars joins Octaive after seven years at Teads where he was Business Director, running a sales team covering the GroupM agency group. The announcement comes shortly after the company secured a £500k in an angel investment round. Backed by high profile industry leaders, the funding round is the first external investment by the two year old business, that now has a team of 9 and has seen revenues more than double in the past year, making it already profitable. Octaive already works with a series of high profile clients including Vodafone, Lego, VW and The Open University.
According to Sam Peters, CEO and founder of Octaive: “Christian brings over 15 years experience working with major agency groups and a variety of the world’s largest brands. He is the perfect person to join us at this exciting growth stage and help build our proposition on the benefits of ‘active attention’ for brands.”
