Camden Market's first pub opens wine store ahead of Christmas
In order to take advantage of the festive season’s commercial boost, companies across the country are diversifying and adapting to bounce back from the pandemic slump.
Once such example includes Camden’s The Farrier.
The Farrier launched in May 2021 as North London’s new neighbourhood restaurant and Camden Market’s first ever pub.
December 10 2021 will see The Farrier expand its offering into retail, with the addition of its Wine Store.
Also housed within the restored former horse hospital and stables building, the new wine store will be the area’s first wine specialist and allow guests the opportunity to purchase by the bottle directly over the bar, or from your waiter at the end of a meal, to take home.
The focus will be on specialty and rare natural, biodynamic and organic wines from small producers and wineries from around the world.
Styles range from natural British sparklings (e.g ‘Col 19’ from Tillingham Wines) to established favourites (e.g. ‘Chin Chin’ Vinho Verde from Quinta do Ermizio, Portugal) whilst showcasing lesser known orange wines and rare low production reds (e.g Sky Zinfandel 2013 from Napa Valley, USA).
Winter specials will include the natural Italian sparkling Casa Belfi Frizzante and the English organic sparkling from Davenport Vineyards.
