Bradford businesses urged to sparkle this winter

Partners of the Sparkling Bradford Winter campaign are urging businesses across the district to sign up to the Sparkling Bradford initiative and will be offering one-on-one sessions with local organisations across the district.

The dedicated sessions, which will take place virtually in December and January, will help businesses to sign up to the Sparkling Bradford initiative which supports businesses in improving their marketing activity. The team will also provide a toolkit to allow businesses to effectively reach new customers and improve visitor footfall.

Delivered by Sparkling Bradford partners; VisitBradford, The Broadway Bradford, Bradford Business Improvement District (BID), Ilkley BID and Bradford Council, the sessions form part of the campaign’s wider aim, to boost Bradford’s economy and showcase the visitor experience across the region during winter 2021.

Bradford BID manager, Jonny Noble commented: “It is absolutely crucial to the Sparkling Bradford initiative to support organisations with their promotional activities, following what has been a difficult 18 months for businesses.

“This is the seventh campaign for Sparkling Bradford which first launched in 2018. Our summer campaign reached more than 372,000 people on social media and in less than four weeks we’ve seen 30 new business sign-ups during the winter campaign.

“We’re constantly thinking of new ways to help businesses with their marketing plans and the workshops will provide them with much needed advice and tools to help our district sparkle.”

Organisations can sign-up to attend a business drop-in session by sending an email to lisa.brankin@bradford.gov.uk. The deadline for businesses to express an interest in attending a season is 31st January 2022.

Helen Rhodes, Ilkley BID manager, added: “The Bradford district has so much to offer both local residents and tourists, and winter brings a whole host of seasonal events for people to enjoy. We’re committed to helping retailers, bars, restaurants and venues to promote what they have on offer during the winter season and Sparkling Bradford provides them with a platform to do this.”
