32,750 sq ft Leeds industrial unit acquired for bed manufacturer
Commercial real estate firm, Avison Young, has completed the acquisition of a 34,750 sq ft industrial unit in Leeds on behalf of luxury bed manufacturer, Harrison Spinks.
The unit at Millshaw Park, an industrial estate situated just two miles south of Leeds city centre, has seen development over recent years, with current occupiers including Edmundson Electrical, MPCC and Alliance Healthcare. Harrison Spinks will use the unit as its new site for storage and logistics.
Avison Young’s building consultancy team also acted on behalf of the client, providing a schedule of condition and monitoring refurbishment works for the unit.
Jake Pygall, associate director at Avison Young, said: “This is a fantastic strategic acquisition for our client Harrison Spinks. Due to a period of continued growth and expansion, it was crucial that the firm was able to find immediate storage with close links to the city.
“Millshaw Park’s location, linking directly with the Leeds outer ring road and the M621, will provide Harrison Spinks with a prime location for storing and transporting its goods to warehouses across the city and beyond.”
Darren Marcangelo at Harrison Spinks said: “The new warehouse will act as a distribution centre and raw material storage, allowing us to use our existing facilities purely for manufacturing rather than storage.
“The location is perfect for our current manufacturing in Leeds and will help us achieve our growth potential over the coming years.”
Tom Goode at Knight Frank said: “We are delighted to have secured Harrison Spinks at Millshaw Park. The estate is one of Leeds’s prime industrial locations and it was no surprise that Harrison Spinks moved swiftly to secure the unit after a very brief marketing period.”
Carter Towler also acted for the landlord as joint agents.
