City’s £5m COVID-safe workspace offers support during latest work from home guidance
East Midlands property firm launches new offer - £25 per week per desk – for city workers
With controversial guidance to work from home now introduced, Nottingham’s newest office space, Stoney Street Studios, is lending its support to those who may struggle to adapt to the changes.
The £5million Lace Market development will remain open and its operations head says people who are unable to easily operate from home should consider using its modern, COVID-safe facilities as an alternative.
Berta Toth, head of operations at Stoney Street Studios, explains: “We’re conscious that, for some, this new guidance will have a big impact on their ability to do their jobs effectively, plus it’s been proven that working from home can have a negative impact on mental health, particularly at this time of year.
“There should be options available that don’t force people to sit in a bedroom or work from a makeshift area that is isolating and significantly knocks productivity. For those with small children at home during the day, or in shared accommodation, working from home can be next to impossible. That’s why we’ve decided to open our doors and launch a new, no-strings-attached solution, which we expect to be hugely popular.
“To ensure our tenants are COVID-safe, we have hand sanitiser stations, glass partitions to screen off workspaces, and the offices have frequent deep cleaning, with disposable masks available for visitors.”
Stoney Street Studios is part of Perrymead Estates’ portfolio of properties, and after launching earlier this year, it has recently undergone further renovations to respond to changing demands for flexible and adaptable workspace.
The offices, which are in the heart of the Lace Market overlooking St Mary’s Church, offers free tea and coffee, high speed internet and AV facilities for a reduced deal of £25 per week per desk, with no tie-ins. Spaces are limited.
Dating from 1845, the Stoney Street building blends original features with modern design and also has availability for private office space and meeting rooms.
