Liverpool venue facing competition from Vatican and Van Gogh to be crowned world’s best visitor attraction after huge UK win

Royal Liver Building 360 is facing competition from the Vatican Museums and Van Gogh Museum to be crowned as the world’s most remarkable visitor attraction.

The world-class Liverpool venue beat off competition from Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and the Titanic Belfast museum to be crowned the ‘Most Remarkable Venue for the UK and Ireland’ earlier this month by ticket seller Tiqets.

Now the iconic Merseyside attraction is being pitted against various winners from across the globe like Vatican Museums in Italy, Van Gogh Museum in Holland and United States venue The Menil Collection in a public vote.

RLB360 operations manager Chris Devaney said: “We were delighted to be recognised at the UK’s most remarkable visitor attraction.

“The selection of the award is based on more than 850,000 customer reviews on Tiqets so we just want to say a big thank you to all of our guests who shared their experiences at RLB360 and helped us win.

“After what has been another tough year, it was fantastic for the team to be rewarded for all the hard work they do. They make the tour a truly unforgettable experience with all their amazing knowledge about the Royal Liver Building itself, as well as the city of Liverpool.

“Now, RLB360 is in the global final to be crowned as the world’s Most Remarkable Venue but we need the people of Liverpool to help us bring the title to the city in the public vote. If you’d like to vote for us please follow the link below. Voting will also put you in with a chance of winning a year’s supply of free tickets from Tiqets when you cast your vote for RLB360 too!”

RLB360, which has also been nominated to defend its title as the Liverpool City Region Small Visitor Attraction of the Year 2021, is sure to delight those of every and any generation.

Visitors can marvel at the history and architecture on display inside the city favourite while going behind-the-scenes and learning about the Royal Liver Building clocks.

Every guest is also provided with a guided tour around the attraction, which opened in 2019 and has since welcomed more than 40,000 visitors from across the world.

People can also get up and close with the Liver Birds by going onto the roof after watching a thrilling digital projection show at RLB360, which was awarded a TripAdvisor Travellers choice Award this summer.

The light, sound and digital effect display has been installed inside the historic clock tower, set to the backdrop of the ticking of the original mechanisms, bringing the history of the Royal Liver Building to life with a captivating tale of Liverpool’s past and how a city full of culture, sport, history and music has made its mark on the world and evolved into the place you see today.

The RLB360 visitor centre is free to enter, regardless of whether people tour the building, and you can spend time learning about the history of the Royal Liver Building while viewing historic displays and an archive gallery here too.

RLB360 is open throughout the Christmas period to provide special guided tours which will create lasting memories for all the family. Tickets and special Christmas offers can be found on their website.
