North East engineering firm creates 18 jobs with specialist marine division
Gateshead based hydraulics services company, Hyserve, celebrated a “strong year of growth” with the creation of 18 jobs and expansion of the company in 2021.
Hyserve provides a range of hydraulics services to the North East’s manufacturing and marine industries including bespoke system design, servicing and maintenance, and consultation.
“Strong and continued growth” for the business in 2021 led to a healthy recruitment drive during the year, creating 18 new jobs in total. In December alone, two new positions have been created and filled.
Tom Mills joins Hyserve from SETA College as the first engineering apprentice and former project owner Matthew Majtyka has been promoted to the newly created lead engineer’s role.
Jerome Dardillac, managing director of Hyserve has “always placed a strong emphasis on recruiting local engineering talent and he sees no change in that for 2022”.
He commented: “It’s important to me as a business owner to recruit local talent and support our region as a whole. And, perhaps more important than recruiting, is retaining the staff we do recruit by making sure we provide opportunities for progression within the company.
“I’m delighted to have been able to do that for Matthew and I’m just as excited to see what Tom will bring to the team.”
Matthew Majtyka, lead engineer of Hyserve said: “I’ve worked at Hyserve since February, and I’ve been part of its growth so of course I’m very happy to have been offered the position of lead engineer and I’m sure I’ll be part of much more growth to come.”
Hyserve are looking to expand their team further and are currently on the hunt for new premises within the North East to support their growing company.
