Belmayne delivers donations for homeless
Dronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, have helped make winter a little less bleak for those who sleep on the streets in Chesterfield, thanks to the generosity of local residents.
The independent advisers have delivered clothing, sleeping bags, food and toiletries to Pathways of Chesterfield, after acting as a collection point throughout December.
Belmayne partner, Jon Stevens, coordinated the appeal. He said: “We have had an amazing response from the local community and I can’t thank everyone enough for their kind donations to this very worthy cause. Pathways is somewhere the homeless and those at risk of homelessness can go for practical help and support. The supplies we have delivered this week will go some way to ensuring it can continue this good work throughout the difficult Christmas period.”
In total, Belmayne collected around a dozen sleeping bags and various items of warm clothing, plus a large box of food, snacks and toiletries.
Members of the public still wishing to make donations can take them to Pathways’ building at 106 Saltergate, Chesterfield, on Wednesdays between 10am and 12 noon, where a volunteer handler will be available. For more information, telephone (01246) 498204 or visit www.pathwaysofchesterfield.co.uk
Pathways of Chesterfield is one of four organisations being supported by the Belmayne Foundation this year. All proceeds from its fundraising activities will be split equally between them.
