A quick New Year chat with Bdaily business manager Andrew Carter - Part 2

Welcome back to the second part of Bdaily business manager Andrew Carter’s discussion with correspondent Matthew Neville about the year gone, the year ahead and some of the exciting things coming your way this year.

So we’ve looked back to 2021. Let’s look ahead to the coming year.

“2022 has the potential to be an incredible year for businesses as we hopefully find some normality and rhythm returning to our working lives. I, for one, am looking forward to finding a new balance between in-office and remote working.

“It feels like this pandemic shot a lot of businesses forward around 20 years when it came to digital adoption and hybrid working, and I personally thought it was fantastic to see.

“People are now a lot more understanding and forgiving of each other, in my experience, and are more prepared to make allowances and offer support. Business relationships have become friendlier and, through that, stronger. Shared experiences are bringing people together.

“But financially a lot of businesses still hold concerns. Support has been there, but will it be enough? Are businesses tightening the purse strings because ‘we don’t know what’s around the corner’? Hopefully not. By doing good business we can help reinvigorate each other.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the office with the Bdaily team. We had a taster towards the end of 2021 and it was fantastic watching the team gel in person and to get to know colleagues away from a Zoom room.

“I’m also looking forward to hopefully meeting a lot of our partners and clients in person. Visiting their offices and seeing their projects up close (although most likely at an appropriate distance) and getting to know them and their businesses in more detail.

“In person events will hopefully return and give us all the opportunity to meet, greet, network and build our relationships face to face, like the good old days!

“There’s also something new and exciting coming from Bdaily with the upcoming launch of Bdaily Premium, (keep your eyes peeled for more on that soon!) which should keep us all busy and provide our audience with some great new styles of content to help them and their businesses grow and prosper in 2022.

“We’ve got plans in place to give some of our products and services a bit of a facelift to freshen things up as the year undoubtedly flies by as they always seem to do.

“I’m excited to see everyone flourish this year. We’ve all had a tough run, but as D:Ream once said, Things can only get better.

“We’re going to keep growing Bdaily, sourcing the best business content we can get our hands on and bringing in bright and energetic new talent to work with our current team and with you, our readers and clients, to make 2022 as good as it can be for us all.”
