London lawtech startup launches crowdfunding campaign for £200k
The LawTech start-up, Legal Utopia, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise capital of £200k.
Having reached over 70 per cent of its target when the campaign went public, investors are already beginning to show confidence in Legal Utopia’s new 3-year product strategy and internationalisation strategy.
The company, which has been on a mission to disrupt the legal industry since 2017 by using AI to empower legal consumers and small businesses, has seen growth, especially since it advertised nationally via Sky Media.
Its app uses natural language processing, based on an analysis of more than 100,000 cases, to signpost consumers to various legal services, through its unique Legal Checker service now accompanied by a Find A Lawyer and Book A Lawyer service for searching, bookings, and calling lawyers from anywhere in the UK on-demand.
With this investment, the company plans to expand into new markets such as litigation funding and group claims, and also increase the size of its workforce. It is no stranger to growth.
Since obtaining its first grant in 2018, it has gone on to develop patent-pending, cutting-edge AI, collaborated with global law firms such as Mishcon de Reya, Baker McKenzie, and Dentons, and also grown in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Legal Utopia is on a mission to change the way people access legal services, both now and in the future.
