Dates and attending organisations announced for York apprenticeship fair
As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 (February 7 - 13) The Apprenticeship Hub is bringing employers and future apprentices together for an opportunity to connect on Thursday February 10.
The Build the Future Apprenticeship Fair will see employers from a wide range of sectors and apprenticeship providers from across the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding region under one roof to discuss their apprenticeship opportunities with attendees.
Employers exhibiting at the event include: Portakabin, Garbutt & Elliott, Drax Energy, Nestlé, Karro Foods, Citywide Health, and the British Army.
Apprenticeships are available to anyone aged 16 or over who want to gain hands-on, paid experience in their chosen occupation, whilst achieving a recognised qualification ranging from Level 2 (AS Level equivalent) up to Level 7 (postgraduate degree equivalent).
The event will provide an opportunity for those considering apprenticeships to meet employers, explore their options and to tap into the regions’ expertise to find out more about apprenticeships. Vicky Wright, Project Manager for The Apprenticeship Hub, will be providing employers with this opportunity to recruit their future workforce.
She said: “The Apprenticeship Hub offers employers support and advice for everything apprenticeships, from choosing the right apprenticeship standard to finding the right provider. We also provide training to leadership and management teams, and pre-apprenticeship and wraparound support for apprentices.
“This event is another great way to support employers. Recruitment is a big issue in the region at the moment, so we’re happy to be able to provide this opportunity to put employers in touch with potential new recruits.”
