Sheffield telecoms specialist sees 78 per cent increase in turnover as it embraces hybrid working
A Sheffield based business telecoms and broadband provider saw turnover increase by 78 per cent in 2021, as more organisations tackled the challenges of ensuring their businesses are fit for hybrid working.
Wayv Talk and Broadband for Business, which rebranded from U-Telecom just before the pandemic, launched in 2017 with the aim of becoming recognised as the most trusted telecoms and broadband provider for businesses across the UK.
In the last year sales have increased 75 per cent, with the company seeing changing work patterns driving the demand for reliable and flexible phone and internet connections which can cover both office and home working. This increased demand for their services has resulted in a 40 per cent growth in their workforce.
Liam Parnell, managing director at Wayv, explained: “Obviously when the pandemic first hit, no one was quite sure what would happen. But it soon became obvious that ways of working were changing on a permanent basis.
“Many of the SMEs we work with are keen to be back in the office, but all want that element of flexibility so people can work at home if needed – or if it is ever mandated again. Organisations need to know they can rely on their communications systems to ensure customers are properly looked after, so there’s no room for error.
“Not only was 2021 a great year for us in terms of growth, but we were also delighted to receive 100 per cent Five Star Trustpilot reviews. In an industry not always known for its customer service, building trust within the market was always our aim and it is what differentiates us from competitors.”
