Newcastle headquartered cleaning firm plans expansion
A professional commercial cleaning services company is gearing up for “ambitious” growth and recruitment plans.
Headquartered in the North East of England, NECS has seen its presence grow from one branch in Cramlington, Northumberland to six branches nationwide. In addition, its staff numbers have increased from 4 in 2006 to 250 by the end of last year which coincided with the company’s 15-year anniversary.
NECS’s growth has also been driven by the surge in company’s seeking to outsource cleaning services due to the Covid-19 pandemic and has resulted in client wins across the office, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, education and retail sectors.
Founded by Gary Breach in 2006, NECS delivers nationwide commercial cleaning, office cleaning, facilities management, and specialist cleaning services.
In 2019 the company launched an app to make daily tasks and processes more automated and efficient. Providing real time alerts, the app enables the company to respond promptly to its customers’ needs, helping avoid any disruption to their daily operations.
NECS has also developed its own range of environmentally friendly cleaning products as the company felt at the time, that the cleaning products on the market didn’t have the right credentials for its commercial clients.
Gary Breach, MD at NECS, said: “The past 15 years has been quite a journey with some very notable milestones that I’m very proud, of including NECS achieving a national company status!
“2022 has started strongly for us and we believe it will be our most successful year yet. We continue to see a surge in demand for professional cleaning services and plan on growing our turnover by 50 per cent through our current customers as well as new contracts.
“In addition, we aim to grow our cleaning team by 100 people to ensure we continue to provide the best cleaning solutions for our customers’ businesses, saving them time and money.”
