New craft beer and falafel concept to open in Leeds

A microbrewery firm are launching their sixth branded tap with a Craft + Falafel concept in central Leeds on Friday February 18.

SALT’s newly refurbished site (previously Craft Asylum) pairs craft beer with middle-eastern street food.

This will be the second SALT Tap in Leeds following SALT Craft + Cocktails – known for great craft beer, quality cocktails with speedy service and dangerously tempting deals.

If the promise of delicious falafel and SALTs award-winning brews isn’t tempting enough already, the addition of 7 different cocktails ‘on tap’ will also bring the fastest cocktail serves to Granary Wharf and offer consumers attractive pricing with their 2 for £12 all day, every day offer.

Situated in the modern development of Granary Wharf, the area features a vibrant selection of bars, restaurants, a contemporary hotel, residential buildings and open spaces with scenic views. Just a stone’s throw from the rapidly growing reborn district ‘Temple’, SALT Craft + Falafel offers something new for residents, workers and visitors alike.

Having proved the success of pairing street food with craft beer through their 2 Craft + Pizza (London) and Craft + Bao (Sheffield) concepts, this latest SALT Tap explores the tastes of the middle east, partnering with the ‘Falafel Guys’.

Founder, Jamie Lawson states, “We wanted to extend our presence in Leeds whilst still offering something different. We were blown away by the reception to SALT Leeds Craft + Cocktails and we wanted to offer a little bit of diversity in a fast-growing area of the city centre.

“SALT Craft + Falafel is inspired by our love for food and venues that offer something for everyone. Craft beer and street food is such a natural pairing and adds to our pursuit of ’beer perfection”.

Falafel Guys co-owner Abdalla Ramzy said, “We are always actively looking to expand and when the opportunity with SALT came up we had to go for it. We are super excited to be opening another location and joining SALT.

“The team here is incredible and SALT is a great place. We’ve been planning our next move for some time now. As a company we believe that SALT is the right place for Falafel Guy’s next home.’’
