CARE HOME DEVELOPS LIFESTYLE BISTRO
Prospect House Care Home in Malpas has developed a lifestyle bistro for those who prefer a more independent way of life.
The new concept is a safe space where people can come together and take part in every day tasks. Making a cup of tea, preparing lunch, washing up, or just sitting down and have a natter, it’s all part of the concept behind the new social space.
With the aim of improving health and overall wellbeing, especially mental wellbeing, this familiar and welcoming space provides individuals with the opportunity to interact freely as they would in their own homes
Joe Ward, Activities Manager at Prospect House Care Home says: “I work on person centred activity plans and a recurring theme is always to participate in activities which are based on daily life. The lifestyle bistro provides just that facility helping our residents maintain a level of independence they once had, or for some the opportunity to gain a little more independence back.”
Perfectly situated in the centre of the historical village of Malpas, Prospect House is a beautifully renovated and maintained Georgian house. With views over the Cheshire plains the home provides residential, nursing and expert care for residents with dementia, and both short-term respite care.
