DAM Health sign up as national charity partner for Football For Change

Liverpool-based DAM Health have announced a major charity partnership with Football For Change.

The medical testing company, which operates private PCR testing clinics around the world, is supporting the charitable initiative launched by Trent Alexander- Arnold, Conor Coady and Jamie Carragher, by becoming official sponsors.

DAM Health’s support will see the firm sponsoring the first ever ‘Football For Change - Chairman’s Lunch’, taking place in Liverpool next month, and the second annual gala dinner due to take place in Manchester in November.

The not-for-profit fundraising lunch will include a special football Q&A hosted by Alastair Campbell with Liverpool FC legend and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard.

Football For Change was launched at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to help NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people, who have grown up facing extreme social and economic disadvantages, into education and employment. The initiative is aiming to create life-changing opportunities for school leavers in some of the poorest parts of the region.

It has won major support from players including Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Andre Gomes and Leeds United star Jack Harrison while Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville and Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker are also Football For Change ambassadors.

“DAM Health is thrilled to extend our support for Football For Change by becoming official sponsors for 2022,” said DAM health’s director of partnerships, Liam Spence.

“This is an incredible charitable initiative which will change the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in society by providing life-changing opportunities in education and training. We’re proud to be doing our bit to help build brighter futures for young people who need it most.”

Football For Change is chaired by Swinton Insurance CEO Ian Donaldson. The Manchester-based insurance powerhouse are also founding sponsors for the initiative.

The inaugural dinner held in Liverpool in November 2021 raised over £250,000 and was attended by celebrities including Sir Rod Stewart, Pixie Lott, Heather Small and comedian Russell Howard.
