Financial accounting expert Pinkesh Patel promoted to Partner at Grant Thornton

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has bolstered its Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team by appointing Pinkesh Patel to Partner.

Based in the Thames Valley, Pinkesh helps lead Grant Thornton’s 40-strong national FAAS team, which provides expert financial reporting and accounting advice as well as on-demand resource solutions to firms that require additional support to achieve their business goals.

Since joining Grant Thornton, Pinkesh has built up a lot of expertise working alongside the Thames Valley’s many dynamic technology and life science businesses.

In his new role, Pinkesh will be responsible for steering and developing the national FAAS team which has seen significant growth in recent years. Jim Rogers, practice leader for Grant Thornton in the Thames Valley and Southampton, said: “Pinkesh is a valuable member of the team and it’s been great to see him progress through Grant Thornton and become a Partner. Building a FAAS team in the Thames Valley area is a great opportunity to engage with new businesses and provide the sort of in-demand support that will help the regional economy to grow.”

Giles Mullins, Grant Thornton’s UK Head of Financial Accounting Advisory Services, said: “Pinkesh exemplifies our approach to becoming trusted members of finance teams, able to provide the knowledge they need, when they need it. We achieve this by working closely with our clients, and as we’re often embedded with deals and consulting teams’ we are able to provide valuable insights into deals, IPOs and M&A activity as well as providing financial reporting advice and high-quality resourcing solutions.”

Pinkesh Patel, FAAS Partner at Grant Thornton, said: “I’ve been lucky enough to have spent more than two decades with Grant Thornton, which has a really special culture that is underpinned by teams full of supportive colleagues. Being appointed to Partner is a great opportunity for me to support the next generation of accounting talent, helping to build a diverse, inclusive and supportive environment where they too can fulfil their potential.”
