This week’s round up of London appointments includes AWTG, ThinCats, ViewersLogic, and First Hydrogen. Read on to find out more.

Tony Sceales, AWTG

Network solutions provider AWTG today announced its appointment of Tony Sceales to the position of executive chairman.

Based at AWTG’s London headquarters, Sceales will chair AWTG’s Board, and work closely with shareholders, stakeholders and the Executive team.

Sceales brings a strong track record of delivering technology-led enterprise growth and will build on AWTG’s established reputation for network-driven innovation delivery.

He joins from the UK Government’s DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) where he has led 5G Programme Development for the past four years. The £200m 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme is recognised as a global exemplar for successful collaborative public and private sector innovation.

Tony commented: “I’m delighted to join AWTG’s world-class team and to help set and implement a strategy that will increase AWTG’s capacity to bring advanced private and hybrid networking solutions to service providers and enterprises across public and private sectors.”

Group CEO Abbey Alidoosti commented on the appointment: “Tony brings deep market knowledge to our organisation and has built successful global programmes and alliances to grow value across both private and public sectors.

“With Tony leading our Board, AWTG will be well-placed to bring our portfolio of product and services offerings to a global market.”

Tony Sceales will take up his role in April of 2022.

Billy Ferguson, ThinCats

ThinCats, an alternative finance provider to mid-sized SMEs, has announced the appointment of Billy Ferguson as its new chief technology officer.

Billy brings a wealth of experience within the IT sector, having previously worked at Aldermore Bank, Allianz Insurance and Prudential. He joins ThinCats from Aldermore Bank where he has spent the last six years in a number of roles including Head of Architecture, Strategic Technology Transformation, and finally Head of IT.

As chief technology officer at ThinCats, Billy is set to play a role leading the technology department where he will be delivering IT strategies.

Simen Moen, ViewersLogic

ViewersLogic, a consumer data behaviour company, has announced the appointment of Simen Moen to the role of head of data analytics.

With a wealth of knowledge of the TV attribution space, Moen previously spent several years as a Senior Data Analyst at the7stars, the UK’s largest independent media agency.

In his new role, Moen will be responsible for interpreting ViewersLogic’s vast pool of passively collected consumer data to provide clients with unique cross-media insights on the customer journey to purchase and help them optimise their marketing spend.

Simen commented: “Having used ViewersLogic on the agency side, I saw the opportunity to help agencies and brands understand how empirically accurate Single-Source data can draw a direct line between media spend and consumers’ actions.

“TV has always been a powerful brand-building medium, yet campaigns are measured in very blunt ways and buyers risk spending millions of pounds without being able to prove impact. This is still an industry problem at large and where ViewersLogic plays a vital role in helping to quantify true effectiveness and close the attribution loop.”

Luisa Ferres Meyer, First Hydrogen

First Hydrogen has appointed Luisa Ferres Meyer as Chief Human Resources Officer of First Hydrogen UK.

Her appointment will support growth strategies for the company’s UK subsidiary. The firm is developing the brand’s first hydrogen-fuelled and zero-emissions utility vehicles. Luisa has previously led people and talent management strategies for automotive brand Tesla.

Luisa’s experience has focused primarily in creating and leading HR functions within start-up and challenger organisations, largely within the automotive industry.

She has held HR leadership roles at Tesla, where she was responsible for strategic and tactical HR management for the leadership team, covering functions including Sales & Marketing, Tesla Energy and Service Engineering.

She has also been responsible for global talent acquisition, learning and development and development of organisational culture at Ineos Automotive. A telecoms engineer by education, Luisa has over a decade of experience in HR and holds an international MBA.
