Wellness investment at Bannatyne health club
The Bannatyne health club & spa Kingsford Park, Colchester is to benefit from a £30,000 investment to create a therapeutic Himalayan salt room sauna.
The new sauna will enhance the wellness facilities available at the Layer Road site, which is situated within a magnificent Georgian building. Work is expected to start mid-June.
Halotherapy, or salt therapy, is thought to have significant benefits, including for respiratory conditions, skin ailments, anxiety and depression and has calming and detoxifying properties.
The Bannatyne Spa Kingsford Park offers a wide range of day spa packages and treatments. It works in partnership with Elemis to offer premium beauty therapies and spa rituals in the luxurious single and dual treatment rooms.
The health club has the latest equipment on the gym floor, a variety of classes available including the innovative Les Mills offering. It also has luxurious wet facilities for members and spa guests to enjoy.
Tim Morffew, general manager at Bannatyne health club & spa Kingsford Park, said: “This investment will add to the already excellent facilities here at Kingsford Park and affirms our aim to provide the very best in holistic fitness and wellness.
“Salt therapy is becoming increasingly popular, whether to alleviate medical conditions or purely for relaxation and I am certain our members and guests will enjoy relaxing in the new sauna.”
