Cheshire, Wirral & North Wales mobile food business Dough & Go expands
Local entrepreneurs grow their mobile food business and expand into new marketplaces.
Dough & Go currently operates a mobile pizzeria business and has launched a second food van which will offer modern street food with a gourmet twist to an extended customer base.
Dough & Go was launched just over 12 months ago by friends Mark Gibbons and Danny Mead, who came up with the idea of providing a takeaway food service for rural communities that lack restaurants or takeaways close by. Having both lived in rural areas, they found it frustrating not to be able to access these amenities easily.
Dough & Go’s state of the art mobile pizzeria currently runs weekly evening takeaway sessions at locations across Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales and is available for private events outside of these fixed times. With the new street food van, Dough & Go is going to expand into new marketplaces by catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner and being available to cater for more private and larger events.
The street food van menu will include hot and cold breakfasts, gourmet burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries, milkshakes, tea, coffee, fresh juices, desserts and much more.
In keeping with Dough & Go’s existing pizza business, the street food will be made to order using fresh, top quality, locally sourced ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.
Chester accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth helped Dough & Go prepare for their business expansion with tax and finance advice.
Mark Gibbons, Director at Dough & Go, said: “Yet again, we have had great support from Mitchell Charlesworth throughout this latest expansion phase. Danny and I have a clear and exciting plan for Dough & Go and will continue to work hard building and expanding the business.”
Alex Makinson, partner at Mitchell Charlesworth, said: “Dough & Go has had an extremely successful first year of business and we have been able to support their rapid growth and ambitious growth plans with strategic financial and tax advice. We were delighted to help them to prepare for their expansion by registering their business for VAT and fully utilising the new Super Deduction tax break.”
