Evolve Medical Rated ‘Good’ In All Aspects Following CQC Inspection
West Yorkshire aesthetics clinic Evolve Medical have passed their recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. After thorough inspection, the regulatory body has awarded Evolve Medical a rating of good overall. Not only this, but they have been awarded good in every aspect of the inspection, meaning their clinic is well above the basic legal requirements that are required to pass the inspection.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care services in England. Clinics registered have to adhere to the same strict standards and guidance that regulates GP surgeries and hospitals around the country. Evolve Medical’s CQC regulation comes after months of hard work from all the staff, adhering to strict inspections and monitoring, to make sure the clinic is safe and welcoming for everyone who walks through their doors. The aesthetic industry is currently an unregulated industry, meaning there are no legal requirements for any regulations. The main difference between regulated and unregulated clinics are the standards adhered to by a national government recognised body. With more and more unregulated aesthetics clinics opening, there has been an increase in botched procedures being carried out by under qualified professionals in unregulated clinics across the country.
The government recently revealed plans to crack down on botched botox and filler, announcing the introduction of regulations to the aesthetic industry, including practitioners being required to hold a dedicated licence. The initiative comes as an effort to reduce the number of botched procedures and to improve the quality of care given to patients.
Rachel Green, Nurse Director at Evolve Medical said, “At the Evolve Medical clinic, all staff have been trained to the highest level of safety for their role. It is a great achievement for Evolve Medical to be awarded such a high CQC rating and is a testament to their dedication to high standards and professionalism.”
Evolve Medical is one of few clinics in West Yorkshire who have chosen to become a regulated aesthetic clinic and are hoping to lead the way for more practices in the industry. Evolve Medical are also Save Face accredited and part of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.
