Electrifying Drivers at Home: Allstar Launches Allstar Homecharge
Allstar Business Solutions Limited, the UK’s leading business and fuel expenses payment provider, today announces the launch of Allstar Homecharge, powered by Mina. The solution will help simplify payment for electric vehicle (EV) fleets charging at home, all managed through one supplier with complete visibility of charging and payments.
While it is often easier for drivers to charge their vehicles at home, this can add complexity to the reimbursement of drivers and accurate reporting of costs. Allstar Homecharge simplifies this by providing businesses visibility of home charging across their fleet, with all charging costs coming through on one consolidated invoice. Any home charging payments are made directly to their drivers’ energy supplier helping improve efficiency and reduce administration for businesses and drivers.
For employees, this solves one of the biggest pain points, mitigating any out-of-pocket expenses, administration or bill shock, something that has never been more critical with the steep rise in energy prices. Additionally, drivers have access to their vehicle at home charging history through the Allstar Driver Homecharge portal which they can also use to manage home energy tariffs details, have visibility over home charging sessions, and view when and how much EV charging has been paid for by their employer.
Combined with Allstar’s fuel and electric charging card, Allstar One Electric, drivers can access on the road charging too, with more than 5,000 charge points across a multi-branded EV charging network. Allstar One Electric has been added as a payment in the Zap-Map app, providing additional enhanced features to search, plan and pay for charging across the Allstar electric charging network. The card is also accepted at over 90% of fuel sites across the UK, alongside access to 1,600 Discount Diesel sites.
Allstar’s suite of EV charging solutions now provide a one-stop-shop for fleets of all sizes, providing a holistic view of drivers charging sessions, on the road and at home with consolidated billing, accurate driver settlement and reporting.
Paul Holland, Managing Director of UK Fuel at Allstar Business Solutions, says: “Registrations of EVs rose 75% last year, from 108,000 to 191,000 and more than a quarter of new cars are electrified in some form. Increasingly UK businesses are migrating their fleets to electric vehicles. With that comes additional responsibilities and considerations when it comes to fleet management, including facilitating home charging and facilitating payments for work-related usage.
He adds: “Allstar Homecharge is supporting the many businesses that have already started to transition to EV fleets, as well as those who are planning to, by providing the payment processes and infrastructure needed to do this securely and seamlessly. It is the first of its kind to simplify EV charging payments for drivers and businesses when at home.”
